Special Weather Statement issued June 5 at 8:45PM CDT by NWS Milwaukee/Sullivan WI At 844 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Kaukauna to 6 miles northwest of Markesan. Movement was southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Fond Du Lac, Waupun, Ripon, Berlin, North Fond Du Lac, Markesan, Princeton, Oakfield, Rosendale, Green Lake, Brandon, Southern Lake Winnebago, Taycheedah, Lamartine, Byron, Eldorado, Alto, Manchester, Eden, and Mount Calvary. This includes the following highways... U.S. Highway 151 between mile markers 147 and 163, and between mile markers 165 and 169. Interstate 41 between mile markers 89 and 109. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Tornado Warning issued June 5 at 9:18PM CDT until June 5 at 9:45PM CDT by NWS Milwaukee/Sullivan WI At 917 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Markesan, or 13 miles west of Waupun, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Green County Dispatch reported a funnel cloud. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Green Lake County, including the following locations... Manchester. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
