Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued May 22 at 12:41PM CDT until May 22 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS San Angelo TX THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 287 IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN TEXAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 7 COUNTIES IN WEST CENTRAL TEXAS FISHER HASKELL JONES NOLAN SHACKELFORD TAYLOR THROCKMORTON THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ABILENE, ALBANY, ANSON, FUNSTON, HAMLIN, HASKELL, IRBY, ROBY, ROTAN, STAMFORD, STITH, SWEETWATER, THROCKMORTON, TRUBY, TUXEDO, AND WOODSON.

Special Weather Statement issued May 22 at 10:04AM CDT by NWS San Angelo TX Scattered severe thunderstorms will develop along a cold front across the Big Country early this afternoon. The storms will move southeast across the remainder of west central Texas during the afternoon to along the I-10 corridor by early evening. The initial severe storms will have the potential to produce very large hail, larger than golf ball size, and isolated tornadoes. Then damaging winds will become more of a hazard as the storms congeal into a few complexes. Keep up with the latest weather information and have many ways of receiving warnings.
