Flood Advisory issued July 16 at 2:40AM CDT until July 16 at 4:30AM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Eastland County in north central Texas... * WHEN...Until 430 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 240 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Eastland, Cisco, Rising Star, Lake Cisco, Lake Olden, Pleasant Hill, Carbon, Nimrod, Sabanno, Scranton, Okra, Morton Valley, Olden and Pioneer. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
