Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Training heavy rain is expected overnight which could lead to street flooding and rises on area creeks, streams and rivers. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Special Weather Statement issued April 29 at 1:18AM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX At 117 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms 11 miles north of Montgomery, or 15 miles southwest of Huntsville, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of around 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Huntsville, Trinity, Onalaska, New Waverly, Point Blank, Riverside, Sebastopol, Huntsville State Park, Crabbs Prairie, and Oakhurst. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

Southwestern Trinity County in southeastern Texas... Walker County in southeastern Texas... * Until 330 AM CDT. * At 228 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
