An additional 1 to 3 inches of rainfall is expected across broad areas, with isolated higher amounts of 4 to 8 inches possible within the watch area. This may lead to flash flooding, especially in vulnerable areas, and exacerbate already swollen rivers and streams around the area. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following areas, Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Chambers, Coastal Harris, Colorado, Grimes, Houston, Inland Harris, Madison, Montgomery, Northern Liberty, Polk, San Jacinto, Southern Liberty, Trinity, Walker, Waller and Washington. * WHEN...Through this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.
