Flood Watch issued July 11 at 12:39PM CDT until July 12 at 6:00PM CDT by NWS Nashville TN * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following counties, Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, Davidson, De Kalb, Dickson, Fentress, Giles, Grundy, Hickman, Houston, Humphreys, Jackson, Lawrence, Lewis, Macon, Marshall, Maury, Montgomery, Overton, Perry, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Van Buren, Warren, Wayne, White, Williamson and Wilson. * WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Soils are saturated from previous storms while additional rainfall amounts between 1-2 inches are expected through the weekend. Flood Advisory issued July 11 at 2:57PM CDT until July 11 at 6:00PM CDT by NWS Memphis TN * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of West Tennessee, including the following counties, Decatur and Henderson. * WHEN...Until 600 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 257 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lexington, Parsons, Decaturville, Sardis, Reagan, Montgomery, Scotts Hill, Taylors Crossing, Lick Skillet, Shady Hill, Garrett, Red Walnut, Haney, Beacon, Warrens Bluff, Thurman, Dunbar, Rock Hill, Wilkinstown and Pleasant Grove. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
