In southern Oklahoma, Carter. * WHEN...Through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of thunderstorms with heavy rainfall are possible this afternoon, evening and into Wednesday morning. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Chikaskia River near Blackwell affecting Kay and Grant Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Chikaskia River near Blackwell. * WHEN...Until late tonight. * IMPACTS...At 32.0 feet, Several city blocks in northeast Blackwell are affected. Some residences will be surrounded by depths approaching 3 feet in streets. Highway 177 north of Blackwell... and Hubbard Road southeast of Blackwell are closed. Blackwell Avenue is overtopped. Rural lands are covered by floodwaters ranging up to 4 feet in depth in extreme northeastern Grant and Kay counties. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 31.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 28.0 feet. - Forecast...The Chikaskia River is expected to fall below flood stage late this evening and continue falling. - Flood stage is 29.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
