In south central Nebraska, Clay, Fillmore, Hamilton, Nuckolls and Thayer. * WHEN...Until 7 AM CDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Slow-moving thunderstorms will continue to gradually shift east-southeast through the evening and overnight hours. Flood Advisory issued June 6 at 3:25AM CDT until June 6 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Hastings NE * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Eastern Clay County in south central Nebraska... Eastern Nuckolls County in south central Nebraska... Western Thayer County in south central Nebraska... * WHEN...Until 700 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 323 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have already fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Little Blue River, Oxbow Creek, Spring Creek, Turtle Creek, Buffalo Creek, School Creek, Turkey Creek, Little Sandy Creek, Oak Creek, North Fork Turkey Creek, West Fork Big Blue River, Big Sandy Creek, Dry Sandy Creek and Elk Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Edgar, Davenport, Bruning, Hardy, Ruskin, Carleton, Oak, Ong, Saronville and Nora. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
