THE NEW WATCH IS VALID FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN NEBRASKA THE NEW WATCH INCLUDES 10 COUNTIES IN NORTHEAST NEBRASKA ANTELOPE BOONE CEDAR CUMING MADISON PIERCE PLATTE STANTON THURSTON WAYNE THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ALBION, COLERIDGE, COLUMBUS, ELGIN, HARTINGTON, LAUREL, MACY, NELIGH, NORFOLK, OSMOND, PENDER, PIERCE, PLAINVIEW, RANDOLPH, ST. EDWARD, STANTON, WALTHILL, WAYNE, WEST POINT, WINNEBAGO, AND WISNER.

Flood Advisory issued June 30 at 1:18AM CDT until June 30 at 4:15AM CDT by NWS Omaha/Valley NE * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southern Antelope County in northeastern Nebraska... Northern Boone County in northeastern Nebraska... * WHEN...Until 415 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 118 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Neligh, Tilden, Elgin and Oakdale. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
