Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast through the day on Saturday. Any storm will be capable of producing heavy rainfall. The biggest concern for additional flash flooding is in areas that saw the most rain last night into early this morning. Up to 6-12+" of rain fell in a northwest to southeast axis from southern Crawford through northeast Reynolds, western and southern Iron, and southwest Madison counties. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Between 5 and 10 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Marquand, Buckhorn and Saco. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become killers in heavy rains.
