Flood Warning issued May 9 at 5:30AM CDT until May 9 at 8:30AM CDT by NWS Paducah KY * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of western Kentucky, including the following counties, Christian, Todd and Trigg. * WHEN...Until 830 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 530 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in at 445 pm, portions of Will Jackson Road in Trigg County were washed out. . Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hopkinsville, Oak Grove, Cadiz, Elkton, Fort Campbell, Wranglers Campground, Energy Lake Campground, Golden Pond Visitors Center, Land Between The Lakes Area, Turkey Bay, Clarksville, Guthrie, Pembroke, Canton, Rockcastle, Trenton, Lafayette, Herndon, Linton and Allensville. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
