Flood Advisory issued May 9 at 1:55AM CDT until May 9 at 3:15AM CDT by NWS Paducah KY * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of western Kentucky, including the following counties, Daviess, Henderson, McLean and Webster. * WHEN...Until 315 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 155 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Evansville, Owensboro, Henderson, Mount Vernon, Providence, Calhoun, Sebree, Livermore, Clay, Dixon, Corydon, Whitesville, Robards, Beech Grove, St. Joseph, Stanley, Masonville, Knottsville, Sacramento and Island. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
