In Southeast Kansas, Allen, Chautauqua, Elk, Greenwood, Labette, Montgomery, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson. * WHEN...From 8 PM CDT this evening through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.

Verdigris River at Coffeyville affecting Montgomery County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Verdigris River at Coffeyville. * WHEN...Until early tomorrow morning * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Flooding of low-lying areas is expected, especially along the left bank near the Water Plant. Further upstream and downstream from the gage site the river spreads out into the flood plain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 18.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 18.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 13.1 feet by 7 am Wednesday. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades.
