Ninnescah River near Belle Plaine affecting Sumner County. Ninnescah River near Peck affecting Sedgwick and Sumner Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Ninnescah River near Peck. * WHEN...Until early Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Water flows over 103rd Street about 2 miles west of Clearwater. Flooding is about 2 feet deep in that area. South of Clearwater the river expands to about 1/2 mile on the south bank. Expect many county roads near the river to be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 19.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.5 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.
