Arkansas River at Arkansas City affecting Cowley County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Arkansas River at Arkansas City. * WHEN...Until Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, The Water Plant takes precautions on water well pump houses west of the Arkansas River. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 13.9 feet and falling. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage Thursday morning and continue falling to 6.1 feet early Sunday afternoon. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
