In South Central Kansas, Butler and Cowley. In Southeast Kansas, Allen, Chautauqua, Elk, Greenwood, Labette, Montgomery, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson. * WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will impact the region this afternoon through tonight. Pockets of very heavy rainfall and localized flooding are likely, along with the potential for rises and rivers and streams. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.

Southeastern Greenwood County in southeastern Kansas... * Until 545 PM CDT. * At 457 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located near Fall River, or 10 miles northeast of Howard, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Damaging tornado and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * The tornado will be near... Fall River around 505 PM CDT. Toronto around 525 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Coyville, Fall River Lake, Fall River State Park, Batesville, Cross Timbers State Park, and Toronto Lake.
