Further upstream and downstream from the gage site the river spreads out into the flood plain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 18.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 18.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this morning and continue falling to 1.8 feet early Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.
