Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 8 at 5:39PM CDT until July 8 at 6:30PM CDT by NWS Sioux Falls SD At 538 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Correctionville, or 15 miles west of Ida Grove, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. At 533 pm, a trained spotter reported quarter sized hail just south of Correctionville. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Danbury. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in Sioux Falls.
