Special Weather Statement issued July 10 at 5:48PM CDT by NWS La Crosse WI A funnel cloud has been reported near Osage, Iowa during the past few minutes. These funnel clouds normally do not touch the ground. As a result, they rarely do any damage and last only a few minutes. However, if you live along and east of the I-35 corridor ...remain on the alert and be prepared to move to a place of safety if a funnel should approach the ground. Atmospheric conditions along and east of the I-35 corridor will continue to be favorable for the formation of short lived funnels during the next couple of hours.

Upper Iowa River at Bluffton affecting Winneshiek County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Cedar River at Charles City. * WHEN...Until late Saturday night. * IMPACTS...At 17.5 feet, Riverside Drive at St. Marys Street begins to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 17.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:00 AM CDT Friday was 17.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.7 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 17.8 feet on 04/08/2001. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
