Flood Watch issued June 26 at 11:23PM CDT until June 28 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Paducah KY * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, including the following areas, Alexander, Edwards, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Massac, Perry IL, Pope, Pulaski, Saline, Union, Wabash, Wayne IL, White and Williamson, southwest Indiana, including the following areas, Gibson, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh and Warrick, western Kentucky, including the following areas, Ballard, Caldwell, Calloway, Carlisle, Christian, Crittenden, Daviess, Fulton, Graves, Henderson, Hickman, Hopkins, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, McCracken, McLean, Muhlenberg, Todd, Trigg, Union KY and Webster, and southeast Missouri, including the following areas, Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Mississippi, New Madrid, Perry MO, Ripley, Scott, Stoddard and Wayne MO. * WHEN...Through Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flash Flood Warning issued June 27 at 9:51AM CDT until June 27 at 1:00PM CDT by NWS Paducah KY At 951 AM CDT, The heaviest rainfall has ended for at least a few hours. Radar and rain gauges estimate two day totals of 4 to 6 inches across the warned area. Spotters have already reported flash flooding in the area and the water will likely be slow to recede. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and Storm Spotters. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Evansville, Carmi, Fort Branch, Grayville, Haubstadt, Owensville, Poseyville, New Harmony, Crossville, Cynthiana, Griffin and Phillipstown. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

For the Little Wabash River...including Carmi...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Little Wabash River at Carmi. * WHEN...From late Thursday night to Friday, July 3rd. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 PM CDT Friday the stage was 13.6 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise to a crest at the flood stage of 27.0 feet late Thursday night into Friday morning, July 3rd. - Flood stage is 27.0 feet.
