Special Weather Statement issued July 13 at 10:51AM EDT by NWS Jacksonville FL At 1050 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 10 miles south of Madison to Dowling Park to 14 miles south of Mayo. Movement was northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Live Oak, Suwannee Springs, Dowling Park, Obrien, Luraville, Mcalpin, Branford, Newburn, and Houston. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
