Flood Advisory issued June 22 at 4:34PM EDT until June 22 at 6:00PM EDT by NWS Miami FL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Florida, including the following county, Miami-Dade. * WHEN...Until 600 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 434 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Miami, Coral Gables, South Miami, West Miami, Coconut Grove, Marlins Park, University Of Miami, Coral Terrace, Downtown Miami, Glenvar Heights, Westchester, Olympia Heights and Coral Way Village. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
