Flood Warning issued June 6 at 10:58AM CDT until June 10 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Twin Cities/Chanhassen MN ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Minnesota... Minnesota River near Jordan affecting Scott, Sibley and Carver Counties. Minnesota River at Henderson MN19 affecting Scott, Sibley and Le Sueur Counties. South Fork Crow River below Mayer affecting Carver County. Minnesota River at Savage affecting Scott, Dakota, Carver and Hennepin Counties. Minnesota River at Morton affecting Renville and Redwood Counties. Minnesota River at Montevideo affecting Lac qui Parle, Yellow Medicine and Chippewa Counties. .River levels are still steadily increasing on the main stem Minnesota/Mississippi, however the smaller rivers and streams have leveled and will decrease as we experience dry weather for the next several days. This break in activity should be enough to allow for levels to steadily decline over the next week. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Minnesota River at Henderson MN19. * WHEN...Until Monday morning. * IMPACTS...At 732.5 feet, Water begins encroaching on highway 19 east of Henderson. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1030 AM CDT Thursday, the stage was 732.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 1030 AM CDT Thursday was 732.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 732.4 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Sunday afternoon. - Flood stage is 732.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 732.4 feet on 06/21/1996. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
