Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.

Waters from Okaloosa-Walton County Line to Mexico Beach from 20 to 60 NM... * Until 615 PM CDT. * At 320 PM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 10 nm south of Oriskany Reef to 38 nm south of Okaloosa Deep Water Reef, moving east at 35 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots...suddenly higher waves...frequent lightning...and heavy downpours.
