Blowing Dust Advisory issued June 9 at 12:39PM MDT until June 9 at 7:00PM MDT by NWS Pueblo CO * WHAT...Visibility between one-quarter and one mile in blowing dust. * WHERE...San Luis Valley. * WHEN...Until 7 PM MDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to reduced visibility. Persons with respiratory problems should make preparations to stay indoors until the storm passes. Be ready for a sudden drop in visibility to near zero. If you encounter blowing dust or blowing sand on the roadway or see it approaching, pull off the road as far as possible and put your vehicle in park. Turn the lights all the way off and keep foot off the brake pedal. Remember, 'Pull Aside, Stay Alive'.

The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 223, 234 and 236. * TIMING...From 11 AM to 8 PM MDT Wednesday. * WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 11 percent. * IMPACTS...Elevated fire danger is expected. Fires will catch and spread rapidly and erratically. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
